Located at 1005 Blalock Rd, Houston, TX 77055, 99 Ranch Market operates as an asian grocery store serving Houston in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as bakery, gourmet grocery store, seafood market, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Houston with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in Texas may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 9 amβ9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (713) 932-8899. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, 99ranch.com.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 8,379 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded asian grocery stores in Houston.
Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Houston follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

βWalking into this place is honestly like stepping into a little mini mall. The bakery display cases are completely loaded with fresh, golden treats like Lotus Pastry Cakes and Mochi Bread. But you absolutely have to grab a loaf of their handmade Red Bean Special bread.

Closest Asian supermarket to my area and it is definitely worth the drive! I come here to get my exotic fruits and any household staples for my dishes and thereβs constantly good deals going on, specifically for the things Iβm getting. The staff members are all nice and friendly. Iβm sure if you ask the staff members that are stocking items for some guidance theyβll help you out too, but I never needed to as most of the items stocked are labeled by the signs above aisles. Parking is spacey and I never feel cramped going here.

I came in looking for a type of instant coffee that was a sample in the package I usually buy. The cashier directed me to Michelle, the supervisor on duty. She immediately shut me down saying she doesnβt know whatβs in the packages and whatever is on the shelf is what they have. Clearly I had looked for it myself, but was not able to find it. Terrible customer service to not even try to help look for it. I come here quite often and this is the first time an employee has been so rude and dismissive.

I like coming to this 99 Ranch location because it's conveniently surrounded by so many other stores. It's close to Costco and H-Mart, and near H-Mart you'll also find Paris Baguette and Tous Les Jours. There's an 85Β°C nearby as well and with Costco right next door, you could easily spend half a day hopping between all these places. On weekends, traffic can be pretty crazy and parking isn't easy since everyone shops then. However, if you come on a weekday especially outside of lunchtime--it's much easier to find a parking spot. Inside 99 Ranch, there's a food court with options like San dong noodles, dim sum, stir-fry dishes, and Chinese barbecue. On the other side of the plaza, there are also several restaurants, including Korean spots and Vietnamese crawfish places. As for the store itself, there are always clearance items near the Kung Fu Tea area, which we usually check out before heading in to shop for fruits, produce, vegetables--pretty much everything. I found my favorite Japanese soy milk but this was banana flavored. Way too sweet for me and it was $4/carton. It's a large store and they offer a loyalty program. If it's your first time visiting 99 Ranch, you could easily

Looks like an out of business Kmart converted into a 99 ranch. I have been to a lot 99 ranches in Cali and this one might be the largest and cleanest of them all. Still far from whole foods standards but credit given where it's due. I came here mostly for a soy sauce. I was expecting the usual kikkoman in large quantities. Naturally brewed no preservatives. There were some but definitely not featured and no big jugs. However I found this gem of a soy sauce. Out dozens I have tried this might be the best - 99 ranches oven organic low sodium sauce. I still can't believe it
